Front-End Software Engineer (React.js, React Native)
Front-End Software Engineer (React.js, React Native) Deep Consulting Solutions
EUR/Monthly
1.9K - 4.1K
2 weeks ago

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Front End Software Engineer to join our Tech Team to build and scale effective software solutions. We are in need of an enthusiastic self-starter with deep expertise in dynamic and complex front end solutions in web and mobile applications.

What We Do

We work with niche companies in the US, Canada, the UK to restructure and automate their operation so that their businesses can grow 5-10x. We do that by effectively analyzing their business, streamlining their processes, and designing an effective automation solution that we then implement on our robust IT stack.

We make extensive use of technologies that help us accomplish results with less work — making everyone inside of our global organization more effective.

We heavily leverage:

  • Amazon AWS's serverless technologies and microservices for our front-end, back-end, and mobile apps (Lambda, Amplify, Cognito, S3, etc.).

  • Zoho's CRM and ERP Tools (Desk, Books, etc.).

  • Vonage/Nexmo-based telephony and communications solutions (Vonage Business Phone, Nexmo Voice/SMS, OpenTalk, etc.).

We are always looking for new technologies and welcome team members adding things to our technology stack so we can deliver more results more effectively.

What You Will Do

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the solution as per requirements put together by our Creative and Business Analysis

Teams. Depending on your level, you will be responsible for either the entire project (with other engineers working in your project team) or for a part of it.

Your ultimate deliverable will be to effectively build a solution that will be implemented in the client's business and run successfully going forward.

In doing so, you will:

  • Design and architect complex front end web and mobile solutions that interact with our complex back ends, CRM/ERP, telephony and other systems.

  • Deliver and implement your solutions.

  • Optimize your solutions for usability and performance.

  • Work with other back end and front end developers on the team to deliver the overall solution.

  • Do anything else you deem necessary to accomplish your result.

Requirements

You are:

  • Responsible and driven by results.

  • Genuinely interested in technology.

  • Willing to learn, grow, and admit mistakes.

  • Able to communicate with other people on the project's team effectively.

You have:

  • A solid knowledge of React (web and native) based front end development technologies;

  • Experience in building successfully implemented highly performing web app and mobile app front ends;

  • Experience with Typescript;

  • Experience with popular UI Component Libraries, such as Material UI;

  • Understanding of SDLC and Software Architecture.

Will be a good plus:

  • Experience with front end solutions that work together/embedded with CRM/ERP systems and live streaming technology;

  • Experience with tools like Amplify, Firebase, and other Front End oriented Cloud Technologies;

  • Understanding of basic UX/UI design principles.

What We Offer

Results-Focused Approach to Work
We do not look at people's activities, the number of lines of code written, etc., as the measure of success. We look strictly at the results in effectively delivered products.

Results Based Compensation Schedule
There is base pay and project bonus pay. Base pay varies significantly by the Engineer's level of ability and responsibility (Lead/Associate/Assistant) that the Engineer takes on projects - this level is reassessed after every project that the Engineer completes. Projects upon completion are rewarded with a bonus - bonus depends on the delivery of all requirements assigned to the Engineer, timeliness of delivery, rate of errors, and the amount of management attention needed in the project. Engineers who can deliver functional solutions that match requirements quickly and with little management action to correct errors get the best rewards and promotions in the organization.

Freely Arranged Schedule

You decide when you want to work. What we expect from you are results. There is a daily stand-up call — but outside of it, you can manage your schedule as you prefer.

Work as an Engineer, Not Just a Coder

Our Engineers work to build solutions and not just to write code. You will have freedom in how you want to architect the solutions you are making and we will heavily encourage initiative on your part.

Senior SRE Engineer (Remote)
Senior SRE Engineer (Remote) Hotjar
EUR/Monthly
5.8K - 7.5K
3 weeks ago

Please do not apply for this role if you are not physically located in Europe, Africa or the Middle East. While this is a remote position, we can not consider candidates that are not based in these regions. You can find a detailed explanation in our Recruitment FAQs.

At Hotjar, we’re building Behavior Analytics software for businesses selling online. We make it easy for them to go beyond traditional web analytics and understand what users are really doing on their site. As part of our Engineering team, you'll work on the exciting challenges that come with large-scale web traffic and analytics.

We work in an agile and highly collaborative environment, 100% remotely, and challenge the norms of traditional business leadership. Our focus is on true transparency and respect.

We're looking for enthusiastic and resourceful software engineers who are passionate about building great products, someone who loves being part of a team, whilst enjoying the autonomous nature of working remotely.

The Hotjar infrastructure processes more than 16,500 API requests per second, delivers over a billion pieces of static content every week, and hosts databases well into terabyte-size ranges. Come join us handling the woes of a large monolith, standardizing our microservices platform and keeping us online, fast and reliable.

About the job:

  • Reporting into our SRE Team Lead, be part of an agile team setting up and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our applications and services on AWS.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain tools and services to support a robust infrastructure.

  • Collaborate and mentor engineers in product teams to help them bring up new microservices.

  • Ensure all necessary monitoring, alerting and backup solutions are in place. Using SLOs to guide prioritization putting reliability front and center.

  • Dive into large codebases, not being afraid of programming more than a few lines of bash.

  • Spend a small amount of your time dealing with incidents and internal change requests. This is not a service-desk or incident-only position, the vast majority of your time will be spent creating and optimizing our tools and infrastructure, not firefighting.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon AWS and Kubernetes.

  • 3+ years of professional experience with systems administration / cloud infrastructure / DevOps.

  • Experience with Python, shell scripting, Terraform, Linux, robust CI/CD pipelines.

  • Not required but experience in any of the following is considered to be an asset: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Kafka.

  • Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment, following Hotjar’s company values, culture and ways of working.

  • Must submit to a background check confidentially processed by our third-party.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this role is €70,000 to €90,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation. We encourage all candidates to read our Recruitment FAQs to further understand our approach to compensation and how we structure our contracts.

In addition to the monetary compensation, we also provide all team members with an assortme

nt of unique and popular perks.

DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer
DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer Platform.sh
EUR/Monthly
3.3K - 4.6K
3 weeks ago

Platform.sh is a groundbreaking hosting and development tool for web applications.

To reinforce our technical prowess, we are looking to grow our operations team. If you’re looking for an exciting, high-growth opportunity with an award-winning, cutting-edge company, this could be just the job for you.

For its PaaS solution, https://platform.sh is looking for an Operations and Service Reliability Engineer with a taste for Python and Go, great Linux system understanding, and a real hunger for the challenges of building robust, distributed systems.

Platform.sh is a PaaS shrouded in a lot of black magic (we can consistently clone a whole running cluster, with its state, databases, indexes in a matter of seconds). We want to get this down to the hundreds of milliseconds domain. Interested? There is more...

Our external API is pure Hypermedia REST + oAuth on top of Pyramid. It mechanizes the Git layer and needs more features.

We can consistently generate from the same manifest a Docker container, an LXC one, or VM disk images (AWS, Azure, OpenStack), we want more targets.

We probably have the highest industry container density. We need to get it higher.

We support any Python, Ruby, NodeJS or PHP, Java and .NET, time to roll-out Elixir, of course, Elixir (and Rust. We need Rust).

We need to have more auto-healing on the high-availability clusters. We need more performance out of our multi-protocol ssh proxy. We need work on our Ceph Implementation. We need to get the Debian package generation streamlined and faster. We need… great ideas on how to make Platform.sh even better.

Directly reporting to our VP of Infrastructure and in close interaction with our Engineering and Customer Support teams, you will be responsible for:

  • cloud operations: configure clusters, deploy stuff, follow-up on alerts, help customer support debug issues.

  • automating all of the above so they can instead drink margaritas (or non-alcoholic beverages, of course)

  • creating systems, tools & processes that will enhance our support and operations efficiency

  • improving service quality, discipline and reliability throughout lifecycle

  • monitoring operating objectives, streamline and automate intervention

  • continuous learning from Operations experience, modeled as software

Must have :

The ideal candidate:

  • has proven successful experience in an operations role,

  • has demonstrated the ability to successfully manage cloud-based infrastructure for a fast growing organization

  • has experience with containerization technologies

  • has had exposure to cloud services (AWS)

  • understands how an OS works, knows networking, how git works, and the constraints of a distributed system

  • Puppet experience

  • is proficient in Python (Golang a plus)

Nice to have :

  • knowledge of Magento Ecommerce, Symfony, Drupal, eZ Platform, or Typo3

  • relational database skills

  • public speaking experience

  • ability to kick ass in Chess

  • proficiency in Rust grants you bonus points

Note: We don't like stress, so we build everything to be robust and resilient, but stuff does break. This is a role with on-call duties. If page-duty fills you with dread... well, this might not be a fit.
